Students who successfully complete the first year of the MTech, MCP, or MArch degree will be allowed to join the programme to pursue a PhD at IIT KGP.
Applications are being accepted for the Joint Masters and PhD programmes in Engineering, City Planning, and Architecture at IIT Kharagpur for the 2024–2025 admission year. For further information, interested and qualified applicants may visit the institute’s official website.
Students who demonstrate interest and have a first-year CGPA of 8.0 or higher may be invited to participate in an interview or written exam to determine whether or not they are qualified to pursue a PhD. Before enrolling in a PhD programme, chosen students must satisfy the two-year academic requirements of an MTech, MCP, or MArch course. Following their successful completion of the PhD, these students will get both the MTech/MCP/MArch and the PhD degree jointly.
