GWLN Reveals Initial Moves during Annual Lunch at GAC

During its annual lunch at America’s Credit Unions’ 2024 Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC), the Global Women’s Leadership Network (GWLN) revealed preliminary findings from the first set of research data that will go towards developing a new gender strategy. GWLN, started by the World Council of Credit Unions in 2009 and now a part of the Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions (WFCU), aims to reduce inequality by supporting professional development and talent mentoring so that more women can hold leadership positions in the credit union sector. Gender consultant Sophie Romana of Althae Strategy presented data collected from hundreds of GWLN stakeholders, including heads of Sister Society leaders and members.
